Rev. Timothy Green, a humble servant of the Lord and a native of Franklin County, NC, is blessed to share his life and ministry with his beloved wife, First Lady Natasha Rascoe Green. They were united in marriage on April 30, 2016, and together, they cherish their blended family, including their two adult children, Tkeya Kiera Holloway and Dominic Barnes, both residing in Raleigh, NC.
Their greatest joy is being proud grandparents to their grandson, Messiah Wilson, affectionately known as “Man Man.”
Rev. Green was born to Rev. Charlie Green and Sister Doris Alston and is the eldest of four siblings. He was raised in a home where faith was the foundation. His wife, First Lady Green, is the daughter of the late Albert Rascoe and Sister Theodora McCullers of Raleigh, NC. She also carries the memory of her beloved sister, Veleria Sharp, who has gone on to be with the Lord.
From an early age, Rev. Green was rooted in the church, beginning his faith journey at First Baptist Church in Louisburg, NC, where he was baptized. His spiritual growth continued at Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church in Franklinton, NC, where his father served as Associate Pastor. These formative years cultivated a love for God’s Word, service, and ministry, preparing him for the call upon his life.
For years, he drifted from the faith, chasing the world’s version of success; living for the moment, indulging in self-serving pleasures, and running from the purpose God had for him. What seemed like freedom led to bondage, and what looked like fun left him empty. The road of partying, temporary highs, and self-dependence was anything but smooth. It was littered with potholes of regret, detours of disappointment, and dead ends of despair.
But even in his rebellion, God’s grace never let go. Through every wrong turn, God was calling him back. And in 2007, he finally answered. He returned to the church, rekindled his faith, and surrendered his life to Christ, stepping into the salvation and purpose that had been waiting for him all along.
Rev. Green preached his initial sermon at Faith Missionary Baptist Church on November 16, 2019, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. George A. Jones, Jr., where he faithfully served as an Associate Minister until God opened the door for pastoral leadership.
On November 19, 2023, Rev. Green was ordained into the Gospel ministry, and on October 12, 2024, he was voted in as Pastor of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Creedmoor, NC. He officially began his tenure as Pastor on January 5, 2025, stepping into the role with deep humility, reverence, and an unwavering commitment to shepherd God’s people.
Rev. Green is both a scholar and a leader, holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems with a specialization in Web Development and Administration from DeVry University. He furthered his theological training, earning a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership from Queens College of Theology in Charlotte, NC.
Beyond the pulpit, Rev. Green is a Software Development Team Lead at the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, where he leads with integrity and excellence. He and First Lady Green also own and operate Peculiar People Clothing, a Christian clothing brand inspired by 1 Peter 2:9, reminding believers of their God-given identity and purpose.
Rev. Green’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” His life is a testimony of God’s grace, mercy, and transformative power, and he stands firm on the promise that God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
His personal motto, "God did it," is a declaration of God’s faithfulness in his journey, from trials to triumphs, from struggles to success. He serves with humility, passion, and conviction, knowing that every step he takes is ordered by the Lord.
Rev. Green is honored to lead, serve, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and he remains committed to equipping the saints, empowering the lost, and exalting the name of Jesus in all he does.
To God be ALL the Glory for ALL He has done!
